Where do squirrels go when it rains? There are dozens of the little critters around our place - enough to keep Molly occupied all day watching them out the back door. Seriously - I always thought they lived in tree hollows but there are way too many squirrels and not nearly enough trees for them around here. And I have yet to see a soggy squirrel.
Alright - I also have a confession that I have needed to share for a couple of weeks. I ate squirrel. It was chewy and tasted like the spices that it had been stewing in all day and that is all I have to say. A friend, who will remain nameless in case all you squirrel huggers want to get revenge, had "game night" that had nothing to do with scrabble and pictionary. The venison and duck were delish and the squirrel... Maybe now that I got this out I can look at the little guys again without feeling guilty.

where's the meat on this little guy for you to enjoy?
E, I didn't no you wus livin' in the South!! I thot you wus livin' in an edumacated location. Squirrel? You are braver than I am. :)
I agree with Erica. It seems like once you peel (or I guess is called skinning in hunter terms?), it seems like you would just have bones. By the way.. did E write this or Eric? I'll remember not to let you guys watch our pet gerbil when we go out of town :)
Don't know that I could bring myself to eat that.
Nice, Ryan loves to go squirrel hunting. In La Grande where my parent live, they also have a festering squirrel population that keeps Jeniffer's dog plenty occupied with their taunting.
I can't believe you ate squirrel! I'm going to need more details about how it tastes.
Can't wait to see how tan you all are when you get back. We're not so tan due to rain. Sigh...
